Time Sheet Deadlines
- Student time sheets that need correcting must be turned in every Monday before 9:00 a.m. The locations of where to turn in your timesheet are listed below:
- Call Center and Networking student employees turn in time sheets in the red folder in the Call Center GCB 120;
- Client Services student employees turn in timesheets to their manager in JFS 148.
- ACLS Student Employees turn in timehseets to their Manager in GCB 109C.
- Education Resource & Scheduling Student employees turn in time sheets to their Media Coordinator in JFS 152.
- Time sheets that are not turned in before the deadline need to request for a Retro Request Payment or Exception Check Request
- Retro Request Payment is when payment for hours worked is paid to you on the next Pay Day.
- Exception Check Request is when payment for hours worked is paid to you the week of Pay Day. A $25.00 fee is required and must be paid before a request is processed at payroll.
- Full- or Part-time employees must also make sure that your kronos timecard is updated before 9:00 a.m. in the morning the week of pay day. Your supervisor is required to review and approve your time card. If you are missing a punch or no correction is made, your timecard will be recorded as not approved. You will be paid only for the hours that is recorderd on your timecard. The hours that are missing you will need to request a Retro Request payment.
Time Sheet Corrections
- To correct your timesheet, students must use the "Timesheet Viewer" found on the University services webpage.
- Print the timesheet as shown on the timesheet viewer.
- Make the corrections in writing indicating the date, the time and if it is an "IN" or "OUT" punch that needs correcting.
- Give a reason as to why you missed a punch.
- Sign your name and the date on the time sheet.
- Have your Supervisor sign your correction;
- Turn in your timesheet to the designated areas listed under "Timesheet Deadlines".
- All corrections must show the following:
- A Reason for the correction
- Signature of the Employee
- Supervisors approval of the changes; cases when the supervisor is not available the student lead may sign in the absence of the supervisor.
- Corrections will not be updated unless the time sheet is showing all the above items.
- Managers & Supervisors be sure that you review the changes of your student employees.
Krono's No No's
- Student and Staff employees should not have excessive corrections or edits.
- For students - excessive corrections is identified as daily corrections that are submitted on your timesheet.
- For staff - excessive corrections is identified as daily edits on your timecard; i.e. editting your time in and out on kronos is a "no! no!" You must use the kronos time clock or the time stamp feature on your time card.
- Excessive changes, updates or edits are subject to disciplinary action.
- First offense - verbal warning
- Second offense - documented warning
- Third offense - probation
- Fourth or final offense - suspension or termination
- Edits or corrections without a comment or reason is not acceptable. All edits and corrections must have a comment or reason. This is also subject to disciplinary action.
