Employment at IT Services
Student Employment
- Students that are selected for Hire in IT Operations or IT Infrastructure must report to the IT Office Manager in JFS 153 to pick up a "Payroll Authorization" form.
- This authorization form must then be taken to Student Employment in the Lorenzo Snow Building (LSB);
- Students must complete a series of paper work to be legally and properly employed. Therefore, before you turn in your authorization form to Student Employment, make sure you have the following completed:
- TB shots cleared @ Health Center
- Ecclesiatsical Endorsement
- Two forms of ID to complete the "I-9" form
- Proof of Insurance (if you have any)
- When you have completed all forms at student employment, a "Student Employment Hire Certification Memo" will be given and you must return this certification memo to the IT Office Manager.
- The certification memo indicates to the department that you have completed all necessary forms for employment and that we can allow you to work; without this memo, we cannot schedule you to start working.
- Student employment will also schedule an orientation appointment once you have completed all necessary forms for employment.
Temporary Services Employment
Temporary Employment is designated into two catagories, (1) 6 month employment and (2) Intern employment. Please be aware that at the time of your interview you will be informed which employment category we are selecting for employment. Candidates that have been interviewed and approved for termporary hire will need to complete the following employment process:
- Once selected as the candidate for Hire, the following forms below must be completed before the Request for Temporary Services may be accepted. (Managers, if you need help, please contact the IT Office Manager for assistance at x53482.)
- Pick up a TB Clearance Request from Human Resources.
- Take this TB Clearance Request form to Health Center; If you have a recent TB reading the Health Center will complete the form indicating you are cleared to work.
- If you do not have a recent or current TB reading, you will need to take the TB test before a clearance will be given.
- All forms listed above must be completed before your employment is finalized.
- When all the above is completed you will then be scheduled for Orientation; Orientation is scheduled by Human Resources every Wednesday from 9am - 12 noon.
- You will be allowed to work when orientation is completed.
Staff Employment
